Description
A spring rain storm was on the way. Gravity wave banding in the altocumulus was an important clue to the southwesterly winds of the warm conveyor belt aloft. The halo around the sun was the result of the higher cirrostratus ice crystals. The halo is another clincher that a storm was on the way. A thicker and lower deck of altocumulus was the final clue that the precipitation was getting closer. Soon the multiple layers of clouds would congeal into nimbostratus and rain. The weather is always interesting and the rain never bothered me anyway - sounds like a line from "Frozen".
The white pines always reach above the forest canopy. I love those trees. Actually I love all trees - strange isn't it.
