Description
The winter storm was over... This is looking into the tight group of white spruce that protect my bee colonies from the winter elements. It also protects the bunnies and the fox and the deer. All kinds of tracks come out of this little stand of trees where the boughs touch one another and interlock. The trees are a refuge for all kinds of creatures - not to mention the birds that flitted about and kept me company while I painted.
The lighting is about an hour before sunset and I painted until I lost the light behind the hill and the barn. Plus the temperature was dropping. It was minus 12 Celsius when I went inside. I finished up the painting the following morning. The family Maine Coon cat came with me but hung out in the barn. It was too cold for her with the morning temperature around minus 17 Celsius. The white paint froze.

I love how nature responds to a storm too. They know when to go for shelter. Thank you Sunny. You encourage me to paint on!
