Description
Around noon (plus or minus an hour since I never wear a watch), I passed by the jumping rock on McCrae Lake and was "struck" by the strong granite shadows. The contrast and colours appealed to me so I set up on the opposite shore and let the paints fly. I have seen people jump off the very top of this rock. You can count a couple of seconds from the time they leave the rock to the instant they smack the water. This piece of granite is definitely too high for me. I was satisfied with the lower ledges to the left. Later in the afternoon, this entire granite cliff is bathed in light and it looses all of its contrast.
The same lady in a motor boat that roared past me during "The Lone Sentinel at McCrae", did the same again. I guess I will have to go much more remote next time.
