Description
This view is looking easterly across Trading Bay - part of the Lake of Bays waterway system. I was admiring the back side of the cold frontal line of some very strong April thunderstorms. I was dry and warm after turning the car heater and fan to the maximum settings. The west wind was brisk but it wasn't enough to create waves on the icy surface of the bay. I wanted to match colours and have fun in the dry but increasingly chilly weather behind the cold front. The snow moble tracks zoomed off in pretty much every direction from the landing. The open, ice-free sections of the bay had put an end to a winter of travel on the ice. The temperature remained a steady and cool plus 4 Celsius throughout the painting.

Windswept, imprinted snow, looks very cold Phil! Great movement and lovely hues.

Thank you Susan... I do strive to keep a rhythm in the brush work and colours.
