Description
My good friend Jane Champagne wanted to see what I would do with the skies of Southampton and Chantry Island. I thought that I had better practice. This is a second view of painting 0766 Chantry Supercell. Indeed nothing severe happened. The thunderstorm rolled along on the lake breeze front that must have remained over the water due to a prevailing low level northeasterly or easterly flow. Thus there was never enough heating and buoyant energy to power the storm. It looks like it barely rained. The cloud bases are not very dark and although we can't see all of the cloud and the neighbouring clouds, they don't appear very well organized. It actually looks like another beautiful fall day on the Southampton Beach.
This range light was constructed in 1907.
