Description
This was Day Five of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS http://www.cpaws-ov-vo.org/) supported DRAW (Dumoine River Art for Wilderness) 2019. We were all eco-artists trying to assist with the awareness of the importance of wilderness in modern society.
I left the easel where it was after completing #2268 "Don Smith Dumoine Morning Mist" and #2269 "Dumoine Grande Chute Canyon". I simply turned to look upstream and tried to capture the torrent of water. It is much harder than it looks. The rapids are always in motion and the colours and shapes change even faster. In plein air you just try to capture the moment and have fun!

Oh my goodness, what a beauty! The movement and flow and energy of the water is so cool! And the brushwork and colors are so stunning...wow! NUMBER #1 FAVORITE to date! The more abstract and loose, the better...Love it! This is freedom and purity and it is like a poster for wilderness preservation...clean air, clean water and pure, wild, unspoiled splendor! Looks fabulous on all the products, too! Bravo, Phil Chadwick! l/f

I echo the oh my goodness Sunny! Thank you for you praise and observations. I tried to immerse myself in the turbulent flow without actually getting wet.
