Description
It was 7 am Wednesday February 21st, 2007 and minus 6 degrees but the sunrise was pretty spectacular. I put my barn coat over my pajamas and headed to the from hill beside the white spruce. This is the view looking eastward down the lane that my dear friend George Craib carved into the landscape. It is always beautiful. The story reminds me of the Groucho Marx line One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got into my pajamas I'll never know. The stories are similar but mine is true.
The birds were really vocal - especially the nut hatches. The sky colour was my favourite shade of yellow green while the clouds were the gray purple of early dawn. The lighting changed very quickly but I feel I was able to capture the true colours before the sun came up too high. It was a great start to a busy day. My hands are still warming up.
