Description
There were streets of stratocumulus in the morning sky over Singleton. The milky white of cirrostratus was on the western horizon and filling in behind the deformation zone that was leading the warm conveyor belt. The northerly winds were veering to easterly and increasing in strength as I painted.
The clouds were front lit while sun felt good on my back. The sounds of spring were still in the air. There were a few black flies in the air as well but they were not biting.
I was experimenting with the handling of the oils and thre treatment of the cloud shapes. Every canvas is another experiment.
I revisted this scene about an hour later in #1936 "Top Lit Cumulus".
