Product Details

Our luxuriously soft blankets are available in two different sizes and feature incredible artwork on the top surface. The bottom surface is white. Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. Looking for a recommendation? Go with a 60" x 80" plush fleece blanket. It's soft and luxurious on both sides... the artwork looks incredible... and the size is just right for everyone.

Artist's Description

An autumn storm was on the way. The bright sunshine was about to disappear and remain gone for a couple of days. Northeasterly low level winds were guiding the streets of low stratocumulus into the storm - that is what the cold conveyor belt does. The higher level altocumulus and cirrus on the southwestern horizon heralded the arrival of the warm conveyor belt from Florida. The orientation of the associated deformation zone suggested that the bulk of the precipitation would stay to the south.

I still had time to finish my painting. I even went for another paddle. I had thought the loons were gone but I heard one yodel as I painted. I really got into the "zone" and even broke a brush as I painted. The wooden handle of the brush simply splintered into two pieces - there is a first time for everything. The brush was quite worn out anyway but it had its use in my approach to art.

Pensive seemed to fit these clouds. They weren't really in any kind of a hurry and were may...

About Phil Chadwick

Phil Chadwick

I paint outside - nothing between my eyes and the inspiration. That special connectivity gets into the pigments and you quickly realize that we are all stewards of the land, privileged to appreciate its beauty during our lifetime but responsible for leaving the environment better off for the future and all inhabitants... Phil was born and raised along the St. Lawrence of Ontario, Canada and studied at Queens University as a nuclear physicist. A meteorologist for Environment Canada for 35 years, Phil specializes in severe weather and training. Remote sensing is his forte - you might want to see a tornado before you die... but not just before you die! He has farmed, raised bees, written books and articles, lectured and instructed...
