Description
Around 7 pm I headed out looking to be inspired. The sunset didn't let me down. I was on the front hill in front of the apiary. The geese were honking. The red winged blackbirds were trilling. The bees were buzzing and quite attracted by my choice of colours. It was really rather noisy on a spring evening. The only thing I didn't hear were the spring peepers. They weren't active yet with still a lot of ice on the pond.
The poplar trees were on blaze from the setting sun. The dried grasses were also aglow. I tried to capture the colours of the moment. It was a blast.
On the back of the painting this is called "Sunset Poplar". I decided to rename it as I did because it was a popular sunset for all of nature. These are also poplar trees just in case you didn't know.
