Description
I didn't have far to paddle between paintings along the perimeter of Canoe Lake. Something new caught my eye with every stroke of the paddle. A typical paddle stroke moves me and the canoe about ten feet. I guess I was in the zone. This is number three in the Canoe Lake Paddle as numbered along the path of the paddle.
In this case the cottage was barely visible behind the screen of trees. The red Muskoka chair however was exceptionally obvious even though it too was tucked behind a bunch of foliage. The fall colours were appearing brighter with every stroke of the paddle.
I used a lot of paint on this small and very slippery surface. I simply laid the oils in and tried to leave them alone - continued stroking of the paint would turn the oils into mud. I scratched my signature into the wet paint with a tooth-pick.

Thanks Sunny... this brings back memories of paddling the entirety of Canoe Lake in Algonquin one October day when there were no tourists scared away by a very wrong weather forecast. The heavy rain started as I was loading my canoe in the mid afternoon.
