Description
I was out for a long kayak paddle on Wednesday May 10th, 2017. Part of this paddle consisted up navigating the spring flood water up through Mud Lake and Sucker Creek toward what I believe is called Little Long Lake. This lake is loosely connected to the eastern basin of Red Horse Lake. On the way back I stumbled into a family of otters just before reconnecting to Lyndhurst Creek. The surprised otters took some objection to my presence and bristled at me with their stiff whiskers before exiting toward Mud Lake.
The water was greatly stirred and agitated by both the kayak and the otters. I thought that the dark reflections in the flood waters were interesting so that I what I painted in the studio while it rained outside.

Thank you Sunny. This one brings back fond memories of paddling... surprising a family of otters and nature. I got into the artistic zone... I need to do that more often. So very kind of you!

One never knows how it will go when you start work on a blank canvas... that is what makes art so much fun and intriguing. Thank you Sunny!
