Our luxuriously soft blankets are available in two different sizes and feature incredible artwork on the top surface. The bottom surface is white. Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. Looking for a recommendation? Go with a 60" x 80" plush fleece blanket. It's soft and luxurious on both sides... the artwork looks incredible... and the size is just right for everyone.

Paul Bartlett's blue canoe and my "Margaritaville, are pictured on the Shoal Lake side of the Bass Lake to Shoal Lake portage. Paul, Keith and I were out on a 5-day trip and we wanted to spend the day on Shoal Lake. We have caught large pike in the shallow water on the southeast end of Shoal and there is one spot that yields a lot of chunky bass. We let almost everything go except for a fish or two for a shore lunch.
These canoe trips are the highlight of the year.
Some people notice the "hand of God" in this painting. It actually was intentional when I saw it in the rocks and colours. It's a beautiful place! The end of this particular portage is one of my favourite places - not just because it’s the end of an 810 metre Canadian Shield trek. The colours of shallow water morph into those of vegetation. The colours conceal where the land ends and the channel to Shoal Lake begins. This is part of the Restoule Provincial Park and the Restoule Upper French Canoe Routes.
I paint outside - nothing between my eyes and the inspiration. That special connectivity gets into the pigments and you quickly realize that we are all stewards of the land, privileged to appreciate its beauty during our lifetime but responsible for leaving the environment better off for the future and all inhabitants... Phil was born and raised along the St. Lawrence of Ontario, Canada and studied at Queens University as a nuclear physicist. A meteorologist for Environment Canada for 35 years, Phil specializes in severe weather and training. Remote sensing is his forte - you might want to see a tornado before you die... but not just before you die! He has farmed, raised bees, written books and articles, lectured and instructed...

Art provides an opportunity for kaleidoscopic thinking. Each time we shift the lens of our perceptions, we gain new perspectives — and new opportunities for innovation. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR RECENT SALE OF AN WONDERFUL WORK!

Thank you so much Susan... this is #523 - my all time favourite from a Sunday afternoon in 2001. I keep trying to match it and I am now wqorking on #1680. Sometimes I think I might have come close but never quite. This is one of two originals that I will not sell. I have it in our dining room and smile every time I see it - it brings back some great memories...
