This was looking southwesterly almost down the trail between the groves of white spruce. These trees had been planted to be harvested as Christmas trees but they quickly grew much too large. The temperature was minus 6 Celsius which was pleasant with the sun but got down-right cold when the clouds hid the heat and the effects of the wind were felt.
