Our luxuriously soft blankets are available in two different sizes and feature incredible artwork on the top surface. The bottom surface is white. Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. Looking for a recommendation? Go with a 60" x 80" plush fleece blanket. It's soft and luxurious on both sides... the artwork looks incredible... and the size is just right for everyone.

This is the third painting of my spring break-out paint out with Lawrence Nickle. This vista is looking northeast across the hillsides that stretched to the south of Burk's Falls. The beautiful spring afternoon was too nice to miss so I kept painting. The cirrus mare's tails were spilling over the top of the upper ridge that was responsible for the sunny and mild spring-time conditions.
Technically these are "cirrus uncinus" clouds as derived from the Latin, meaning "curly hooks". These cirrus clouds are generally sparse in the sky and very thin. These cirrus fingers are most likely on the warm side of the jet stream that was flowing over the top of the upper ridge. A spring system would be arriving but not for a couple of days. Life was good!
I paint outside - nothing between my eyes and the inspiration. That special connectivity gets into the pigments and you quickly realize that we are all stewards of the land, privileged to appreciate its beauty during our lifetime but responsible for leaving the environment better off for the future and all inhabitants... Phil was born and raised along the St. Lawrence of Ontario, Canada and studied at Queens University as a nuclear physicist. A meteorologist for Environment Canada for 35 years, Phil specializes in severe weather and training. Remote sensing is his forte - you might want to see a tornado before you die... but not just before you die! He has farmed, raised bees, written books and articles, lectured and instructed...
