Our luxuriously soft blankets are available in two different sizes and feature incredible artwork on the top surface. The bottom surface is white. Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. Looking for a recommendation? Go with a 60" x 80" plush fleece blanket. It's soft and luxurious on both sides... the artwork looks incredible... and the size is just right for everyone.

This skyscape from 8:25 pm on Friday May 6th, 2022 was a classic deformation zone. The knife edge of clearing in the northwestern sky revealed my favourite meteorological conceptual model. The deck of cirrostratus on the moist side of the deformation zone was crossed by multiple trains of gravity waves rippling in the warm, stable layer of the atmospheric ocean. I have written about and painted these processes for most of my career. Those lines in the sky say so much about the weather.
On this particular spring evening those clouds spoke of a low pressure area and rain passing to the southeast of my Singleton Sanctuary. The skies would clear completely overnight as the deformation zone followed the low. Dew would form on the grass that I kept cut for the blue birds and robins that were feas...
I paint outside - nothing between my eyes and the inspiration. That special connectivity gets into the pigments and you quickly realize that we are all stewards of the land, privileged to appreciate its beauty during our lifetime but responsible for leaving the environment better off for the future and all inhabitants... Phil was born and raised along the St. Lawrence of Ontario, Canada and studied at Queens University as a nuclear physicist. A meteorologist for Environment Canada for 35 years, Phil specializes in severe weather and training. Remote sensing is his forte - you might want to see a tornado before you die... but not just before you die! He has farmed, raised bees, written books and articles, lectured and instructed...

Phil Chadwick replied:
Thank you Sunny... That was a sharp deformation zone for sure. The weather is always fascinating!
