Product Details

Our luxuriously soft blankets are available in two different sizes and feature incredible artwork on the top surface. The bottom surface is white. Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. Looking for a recommendation? Go with a 60" x 80" plush fleece blanket. It's soft and luxurious on both sides... the artwork looks incredible... and the size is just right for everyone.

Artist's Description

Warm frontal rain ... on the way. It rhymes. The early morning gravity waves (#1287 "Conveyor Waves") in the layer of moisture above the cold conveyor belt vanished in a matter of minutes. The low cloud departure revealed the approaching cirrostratus wisps riding the upper reaches of the warm conveyor belt approaching from the southwest. I reached for another canvas and this is what resulted. The cirrus wisps to the north appeared to pull toward the northeast. Simultaneously the cirrus wisps to the south pulled toward the southeast. The col or saddle point in the approaching deformation zone was clearly aligned to pass nearby Singleton. The deformation zone is a skin that is the leading edge of the warmer and more moist air originating from the Gulf of Mexico. The darker cloud lower on the horizon were the based of the altostratus cloud which would be followed by even darker nimbostratus and rain. The sky is never boring to record in pigment! It started to rain at 2:30 pm local time.

About Phil Chadwick

Phil Chadwick

I paint outside - nothing between my eyes and the inspiration. That special connectivity gets into the pigments and you quickly realize that we are all stewards of the land, privileged to appreciate its beauty during our lifetime but responsible for leaving the environment better off for the future and all inhabitants... Phil was born and raised along the St. Lawrence of Ontario, Canada and studied at Queens University as a nuclear physicist. A meteorologist for Environment Canada for 35 years, Phil specializes in severe weather and training. Remote sensing is his forte - you might want to see a tornado before you die... but not just before you die! He has farmed, raised bees, written books and articles, lectured and instructed...
