Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

This is number twenty-five in the Canoe Lake Paddle as numbered along the path of the paddle. This is the point on the east side of Whiskey Jack Bay. I was playing with the reflections and trying different techniques to capture the light of the sky emerging through the forest. It is a trick to keep your colours clean and have just the right about of tinted panel peeking through. The yellow could be from the maples but it could also be from the birches that were located along the shoreline. I can't be certain but this is another one of my favourites from my pilgrimage paddle.

The feel of the painting is a strong function of the smooth but textured surface, the bold strokes and the aging oils. I was still working with the original palette of paint from several weeks before. I was just adding new pigments as I needed them. Waste not, want not...
