A big cold low rain event with abundant moisture from the Gulf of Mexico had just crossed southern Ontario. The hang back part of the storm was all that remained over eastern Ontario and Singleton Lake. The bands of convective showers were wrapped up in the northerly flow. The turbulence was whipping up just some of the moisture that had fallen into those bright, front lit stratocumulus. The characteristic cloud shapes gave the northerly wind direction away. The overcast skies did not let much sunlight through but it was enough to brighten up those clouds.
This was a small and very rough panel and I wanted to have some fun with the old oils left on my palette...
