Artist's Description
An artist friend had a bunch of panels with a lot of tooth.They really bite into the oils. I always admired the way that this group of white pines reached into the sky. The shadowed snow was also a very cold and distinctive shade of blue - my secret formula of some unorthodox colours.

I paint outside - nothing between my eyes and the inspiration. Thanks Susan! Yup... it was cold. That's the last of the winter paintings. I have been using the spring weather to get firewood for next winter... should be painting :>))
