The flagged pine on the tip of Green (A) Island will be the home to some osprey. This is the "flag" in the title. I didn't include the tip of the pine - for their privacy although they did not seem to care one way or the other about my presence. They were carrying sticks and grasses for their nest. Although the nest was progressing nicely, they may not even use it this year as they continue to practice for the real event.
Three old jet contrails were laid down by high fliers on their way to the eastern seaboard of the United States - probably around New York City.
