Magnificent, as usual...this Singleton scene at this particular hour with the light and shadows is so colorful and dramatic...love the contrasts and the light blue at the top...and the red/oranges in the water...wow! A real study for any impressionist painter who wants to learn how to minimize their brush strokes and use the exact colors in nature to paint the simplest shapes...no extraneous detail or clarity...you always say, "'Let the viewer's eye make up the details", and they believe they are seeing a very realistic painting, but it is so abstract! Bravo...the best! l/f

Phil Chadwick replied:

You are very kind Sunny. I keep searching for that masterwork. I think it might come when I least suspect it and when I am not trying 150%. Leonardo slaved over the tiniest portions of the canvas with dozens of glazes. Sometimes I find I just stumble on the best strokes and I struggle to leave them alone. Every canvas is so much fun though! Thank you!
